Govt approves restructuring of IT dept; creates 20751 posts(23/05/2013)

The Union Cabinet today approved the proposal for creation of 20,751 additional posts in the Income Tax Department in various cadres that is 1349 additional posts in the IRS cadre and 19,402 additional posts in the non-IRS cadres. This will help the Income Tax Department collect increased revenue and provide better tax payers services. An additional expenditure of Rs. 449.71 crore per annum is likely to be incurred on creation of additional posts and upgradation of some existing posts. This additional expenditure would be more than compensated by the increased revenue of more than Rs. 25,000 crore per annum proposed to be generated as a result of this exercise.

NADT is going to organise a 3 days course on effective use of CIB/AIR data from 28th May 2013. This course is for the officers ofthe rank of ITO, ACIT, DCIT and JCIT and Addl CIT. INTER SERVICES WORKSHOP

NADT is hosting the first Inter Services Workshop at the instance of DOPT from 6th May, 2013 to 10th May, 2013 aimed at improving co-ordination among various departments and organizations of the Government of India. This will provide an institutional mechanism by which officers at senior levels cutting across different services can come together and interact on a regular basis. The participants will share experiences of respective services, best practices adopted in policy, procedures and delivery mechanisms and the outstanding work done by the officers of different departments and other sectors, discuss common problems affecting civil services and the role and future of civil services in this rapidly changing scenario in the globalised environment.

NADT Celebrates Republic Day

The 64th Republic Day was celebrated in NADT campus with DG (TRG) Sh Ujjwal Chaudhary hoisting the national flag. Thereafter he addressed the team NADT . In his speech he mentioned about the various provisions of Constitutions and linked it to the working of the civil servants in India. He stressed that the civil servants of the country apart from the celebration should also contemplate and think about the various provisions, rights and duties that are provided in the Constitution of India and whether they are living up to the expectations of the Constitution makers of the country. After the flag hoisting ceremony a colourful cultural function and Art & Photography exhibition was put up by the Officers Club at the NADT.
