“Ignorance is Bliss but Knowledge is Power”

The Academy Library is a treasure house for the avid reader. It holds an extremely rich and varied collection of books, journals and reports. The library has a comprehensive collection of books on Direct taxes. Besides, there are special collections on Management, Computers, International Taxation and Comparative Law. A special section has been earmarked for the books written by officers of Income Tax department. 

The Library houses publications of International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD), Amsterdam, as the Academy of a member of this bureau. Comprehensive publications of OECD and other countries also find place in the Library.

 The Library takes care of general interests of the readers as well. It boasts of an extensive collection of books on fiction in English as well as Hindi and other regional languages.

 The library provides facilities for online search of books. The search can be conducted topic-wise, book-wise, subject-wise, author-wise etc.

 The library has a computer center with seating capacity of 30. In-service professional courses and training programs are conducted on office-suites, operating system and departmental software. All the computers in the computer lab are networked and also connected to the Internet.

 To cater to the needs of trainees on fullest basis, the library is kept open from 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
