Information under RTI Act:

Direct taxes Regional training Institute, Ahmedabad DTRTI Ahmedabad was created vide Central Board of Direct Tax’s letter F. No. A-11013/3/98-AD-VII Pt. VII dated 11/12/2003. It is one of the seven DTRTIs operating under the overall control of the National Academy of direct Taxes, Nagpur. It has mandate to train the officers and staff of income Tax department working in the states of Gujarat and Rajasthan and the Union Territories of Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli. In addition it also conducts specialised programmes on All India basis.

The DTRTI exercises control over the Ministerial Staff Units MSTUs at Ahmedabad, Baroda, Rajkot, Surat, Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur. DTRTI Ahmedabad mainly conducts induction programmes, orientation programmes and in-service programmes for officers and staff upto the level of Inspectors. MSTUs cater to the rest of the cadres. DTRTI Ahmedabad has a sanctioned strength of 32.
