Shri Sunil Umap is an officer of the 1996 Batch of the IRS. He has engineering background and has worked in public sector and engineering college before joining IRS. He has previously worked in Nasik, Pune and Nagpur and has experience in corporate, non corporate, salary assessments, TDS, HQ, Central and Investigation. Keenly interested in taxation principles, policy and corporate taxation, he has got extensive exposure to search and seizure operations in the department and is further interested in non intrusive investigation.
